I Was Shaken. I Did Not Break.
I am honored to be a contributing author in Unshakeable: Stories of Women Who Refused to Break, a collection of real stories about faith, loss, resilience, survival, and the strength it takes to keep standing when life changes everything.
Sometimes strength looks like simply choosing to rise again.
What Happened To You Is Not The End Of You
Unshakeable brings together the stories of women who have walked through difficult seasons and found a way to continue. These pages hold grief, faith, courage, surrender, healing, becoming, and the reminder that being shaken does not mean you are weak.
This Chapter Is Personal
My life has included moments of deep loss, disappointment, change, and grief. There were seasons that left me questioning how I would keep moving forward and moments when simply standing felt like its own kind of victory.
In my chapter, The Breaking Point, I share pieces of my story that helped shape the woman I am today. I do not share them because the pain was easy. I share them because I learned that strength does not require us to pretend we were never hurt.
I am still here. I am still becoming. And through every season, my faith has reminded me that my story does not end at the place where something broke.
Rising After Life Changes
My chapter explores what it means to keep living after the life you knew shifts beneath you. It is about facing grief and disappointment without allowing them to become your entire identity.
You Can Be Shaken Without Being Destroyed
There is no single way to survive a difficult season. Sometimes strength is loud. Sometimes it looks like faith. Sometimes it looks like tears, questions, rest, prayer, or simply deciding to get up one more time.
You Are Learning To Rise Again
You Have Experienced Loss
You are learning how to live in a world that looks different from the one you expected.
You Are Rebuilding
Something changed, ended, or disappointed you, and you are finding your footing again.
Your Faith Has Been Tested
You believe, but you have also had questions, difficult seasons, and moments where faith required endurance.
You Need A Reminder
You need to know that difficult chapters do not get the final word over who you are becoming.
Becoming A Co-Author
Sharing my story in Unshakeable is another part of the work I believe I am called to do: remind women that pain does not erase purpose and that what we have lived through can become part of how we encourage somebody else.
This book is not about pretending hard things never happened. It is about honoring the truth of the journey and recognizing the strength it takes to continue.
